The start of the 2011 college football season is a lengthy 200 days away, but spring football is just right around the corner for the Colorado Buffaloes and the rest of the Pac-12. Stanford gets the earliest start on spring football with an early non-spring time start by beginning practices on Feb. 21. Colorado will be having their spring game under the lights for the first with a 6 p.m. start time on April 9th. it also will be a chance to see how new the Colorado team will look under new head coach Jon Embree.
UCLA's spring game will be played at Drake Stadium due to the Rose Bowl undergoing renovations and Cal is not having a spring game at all since Memorial Stadium is undergoing massive renovations that will force Cal to play all of their 2011 home games at AT&T Park which is the home of the San Francisco Giants, plus that stadium has hosted many college football bowl games. Cal's spring practices will end on April 30.
