How will the Denver Nuggets follow up their last-second victory against the Dallas Mavericks? We'll find out as they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday at 4:00 p.m MT. The Nuggets defeated the Grizzlies back on Dec. 5, 108-107, despite scoring only 14 points in the third quarter. Nene finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds while Arron Afflalo, who hit the buzzer beater against the Mavs on Thursday, scored 25 points.
Though coming off a win against the Mavs, the Nuggets are 3-5 in their last eight games (the point when their four-game win streak came to an end). Carmelo Anthony enters the game averaging team highs of 25.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Anthony is still the subject of trade rumors, though those that involved a three-team trade with the New York Knicks and the Grizzlies for O.J. Mayo never took off.
The Grizzlies, meanwhile, beat the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Milwaukee Bucks in their last two games. They are two losses behind the Portland Trail Blazers for the last spot in the Western Conference playoffs at 29-26. The Nuggets currently hold the sixth seed.
