The Colorado Avalanche look to end their four game road trip on a winning note as they travel to Tennessee to take on the Nashville Predators. Colorado has lost six straight games, including all three previous games on this road trip.
Despite last night's buildup with the return of Peter Forsberg, Colorado lost a game that they should have won. They outplayed the Columbus Blue Jackets in their own building, but a couple ill-timed defensive gaffes and goaltender Mathieu Garon gave the home team Blue Jackets a 3-1 victory.
Nashville provides a very dangerous opponent to end the road trip, especially on the second half of a back to back. Pekka Rinne has been great most of the year, but has upped his game the past month. He owns a .934 SV% in the past nine games, including a decisive 5-1 victory over Colorado on January 20. It will be the first game for newly acquired forward Mike FIsher, who was traded from the Ottawa Senators this past week. Fisher has 24 points in 55 games for the Senators this season.
Peter Budaj gets the start in net. Pekka Rinne will be the likely starter for Nashville.
Puck drops at 6:00 pm MST.
