College Basketball Rankings Week 5, Coaches Poll: Pac-12, UNLV Shutout; Kentucky Still No. 1

The Kentucky Wildcats are also the No. 1 team in this week's USA Today/Coaches Poll following its victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels. However, the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes are 8-0 like the Wildcats and have 11 first-place votes to Kentucky's 19. Syracuse, at No. 3, is also 8-0 and has the last first-place votes.

Gonzaga and Illinois are tied at No. 22 while the Harvard Crimson comes in right behind at No. 24. The UNLV Rebels lost to Wichita State and dropped from the rankings after being No. 20 last week. They were the first team out of the poll and have 62 points. Texas A&M at No. 25 made it with 79 points.

California dropped from the poll as well. They were No. 23 last week but received just 32 points.
