Down by two touchdowns, 24-10, entering the third quarter of the 2011 Sun Bowl, the Utah Utes battled back in the final quarter of regulation and tied the game at 24. The game will now be decided in overtime after the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets missed the potential game-winning field goal with just seconds left on the clock.
The Utes scored its first fourth quarter touchdown with 6:50 left on the clock. Quarterback Jon Hays connected with Kendrick Moeai for a three-yard touchdown to bring the game within seven. Then with 90 seconds left in the game, Hay hit DeVonte Christopher for a 28-yard game-tying touchdown.
Time for some overtime bowl game delight.
