Alec Burks Is Still A Colorado Buffaloes Fan At Heart

Although Alec Burks is still finding his way in the Utah Jazz rotation during his rookie season, and received a DNP-Coach's Decision in Friday's game after putting up 15 points on 6-of-9 from the field on Wednesday night, he is still celebrating his collegiate roots as a former member of the Colorado Buffaloes. When it came to Wednesday night's game, he returned to the state of Colorado (the Jazz played the Nuggets) on the same night the Buffaloes played a home game.

When asked whether he expected friends to come see him play in Denver, his response focused on his beloved Buffaloes, who were playing in Boulder the same night: "I'd rather them support the Colorado team." As noted, Burks played very well in limited action against the Nuggets, and Jazz fans are eager to see more of him in the near future.

Perhaps Burks will carve out some time to watch Colorado on Saturday afternoon when they take on the Utah Utes. The Buffaloes game will take place at 4:00 p.m. MT at the Coors Events Center in Boulder, CO, and is available to hear on AM 760 and to see on Root Sports.
