New Hampshire Vs. Montana State Final Score: Bobcats Hang On For 26-25 Victory Over Wildcats

After battling back from a 19-9 deficit late in the first half, the Montana State Bobcats emerged with a 26-25 victory over the New Hampshire Wildcats and a spot in the quarterfinals. But what a wild finish to the game.

New Hampshire's Kevin Decker found Joey Orlando for a 29-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left in the game. Mike MacArthur then missed the extra point, but to compound the problem a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was called on the Wildcats. The onside kick that followed was recovered by the Bobcats to end the game.

Here's video of the missed extra point:

DeNarius McGhee, after a two-yard run late in the second half to bring the score to 19-16 in favor of the Wildcats, gave the Bobcats the lead with a 37-yard run five minutes into the third quarter. Jason Cunningham added a 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

McGhee was 14-of-21 for 167 yards and one touchdown pass. He overcame three interceptions. On the ground, McGhee had 96 yards on the ground in addition to his two rushing touchdowns. Cody Kirk had 18 rushes for 96 yards.

Montana State will face the winner of Stony Brook vs. No. 1 Sam Houston State next week.
