Jets Vs. Avalanche Score Update: Colorado Trailing 1-0 After One Period

After giving up an early goal, the Colorado Avalanche are down 1-0 against the Winnipeg Jets as the two teams enter the second period of Tuesday night's game. The Avalanche are trying to extend their current winning streak to six games while the Jets are just trying to find some semblance of consistency.

Winnipeg got the lead early in the first period on a goal from Evander Kane, his 16th of the season. Assisted by Blake Wheeler and Alex Burmistrov, it was one of just six shots that the Jets managed to get on goal during the period but Avalanche goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguerre was unable to stop it.

The Avalanche got 11 shots on goal during the first period, but Jets goalie Ondrei Pavelec was impressive in making each of his 11 saves. The Jets are just trying to find some stable footing at this point, as they've alternated wins and losses in seven consecutive games since Dec. 10.
