Avalanche Vs. Wild Final Score: Colorado Defeats Minnesota, 4-2

The Avalanche trailed for a good portion of Monday night's game, but they fought back to tie the game and eventually took control of the proceedings in the third period. There were a lot of penalties in the game on both sides, but Colorado played with more restraint than Minnesota over the final 40 minutes and had the benefit of six power plays over that span.

Jan Hejda gave Colorado its first lead at the 10:20 mark of the third period with his fourth goal of the season. T.J. Galiardi gave the team a 4-2 lead a couple minutes later with his sixth goal. Overall, Colorado out-shot Minnesota 32-22 and converted one of seven power play opportunities along the way.

The Avs have won five games in a row.
