Lions Vs. Raiders Final Score: Oakland Coughs Up Victory In Final Minute Of Game, Loses To Detroit, 28-27

The Oakland Raiders couldn't make any ground on the Denver Broncos on Sunday despite a loss by the Tim Tebow-led team on Sunday. The Raiders also lost on Sunday, falling in the final minute of play to the Detroit Lions, 28-27.

With less than eight minutes left in the game, the Raiders had a two-score lead over the Lions, 27-14. The Raiders had scored on a Louis Murphy run, a Carson Palmer touchdown pass, a Sebastian Janikowski field goal and an Aaron Curry touchdown fumble recovery. However, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes in the final five minutes of the game. Titus Young caught a three-yard pass at the 4:59 mark and Calvin Johnson picked up a six-yard touchdown with just 39 seconds left in the game.

However, the Raiders had a chance to kick a field goal at the end of the game. Janikowski set up for a 65-yard field goal, which would have given him sole possession of the longest field goal record (he shares it with Tom Dempsey and Jason Elam at 63 yards). Ndamukong Suh, back from his suspension, blocked it for the victory.

The 7-7 Raiders visit the Kansas City Chiefs, who defeated the now 13-1 Green Bay Packers on Sunday, 19-14.
