Northern Colorado Vs. Marquette Score Update: Bears Down 17 At Halftime

Northern Colorado has struggled to contend against the athleticism and physicality of No. 11 Marquette in the first half, as it trails 47-30. The Golden Eagles are without Darius Johnson-Odom, who was suspended for this game because of a violation of team rules.

The Bears had no answer for Marquette freshman guard Todd Mayo, who started in the place of Johnson-Odom. Mayo netted a team-high 14 points in the opening half, hitting 5/6 from the field. Jae Crowder added 13 points and five boards in the opening 20 minutes.

Northern Colorado had two players score nine points in the opening half. Tate Unruh scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds in 17 minutes of action. Tim Huskisson also chipped in nine points in only nine minutes.
