Montana Vs. Sam Houston State Score: Grizzlies Get On Board, Losing To Bearkats, 21-7

The Montana Grizzlies finally got on board in the second quarter and cut the No. 1 Sam Houston State Bearkats' lead to just 21-7 with the majority of the second quarter done.

The second quarter between the Grizzlies and the Sam Bearkats began similarly for the road team when quarterback Jordan Johnson failed to convert a 4th-and-1 at the Bearkats' five-yard line. However, the Grizzlies defense forced a punt on the Bearkats' following drive.

The Grizzlies worked their way up the field from the 27 yard line, helped by passes of 18 yards and 11 yard by quarterback Jordan Johnson. The team eventually reached the 30-yard line of Sam Houston State's after a couple of Dan Moore runs. Johnson then found Jabin Sambrano for a 30-yard touchdown strike.

The Grizzlies desperately needed that touchdown to stay alive in this game. Still, they'll need to slow down the Sam Houston State offense some more.
