NCAA Basketball Rankings: Syracuse Moves To No. 1 In Coaches Poll; Pac-12 Shutout Once Again

The Syracuse Orange are the new No. 1 team in the nation with the release of the Coaches Poll.

There's a new No. 1 college basketball team this week. The Syracuse Orange are 10-0 and received 28 first-place votes to move into first-place in the latest USA Today/Coaches Poll. The Kentucky Wildcats. Previously No. 1, the Kentucky Wildcats moved to No. 3 following their 73-72 loss at the buzzer to the Indiana Hoosiers. The Ohio St. Buckeyes remained at No. 2 as a result of a loss to the Kansas Jayhawks over the weekend.

Harvard fell out of the poll one week after entering it due to a loss to the Connecticut Huskies. Indiana, Michigan State and Vanderbilt moved into the top 25.

On the outside looking in, Murray State upset Memphis and is on the cusp of entering the top 25 with 42 votes. California and Stanford received votes in the poll, but there are no Pac-12 teams in this week's top 25.
