Gary Kubiak, Houston Texans Clinch AFC South Title After Long Wait

It took 10 seasons, but the Houston Texans are finally going to the NFL playoffs. In clinching the franchise's first playoff berth, the Texans also won the AFC South title. They did this by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, 20-19. Quarterback T.J. Yates, the team's third starter at the position this season, threw the game-winning touchdown with two seconds left in the game.

For head coach Gary Kubiak, he returns to the playoffs for the first time since 2005 when he was the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. He'd been with the Broncos since 1995, so he also has experience winning two Super Bowls.

Wouldn't it be something if the Broncos and the Texans wind up playing each other in the playoffs? We'll need to wait a few more weeks to find out if that will even be in the cards for a second round matchup.
