The Kansas City Chiefs enjoyed a brief respite from losing last week now that they lost on Sunday to the New York Jets, 37-10. At 5-8, the Chiefs continue to have their season slipping away.

After ending the first quarter in a 7-3 deficit, the Chiefs allowed the Jets to score three straight touchdowns in the second quarter and take a 28-3 halftime lead. Mark Sanchez threw for two touchdowns in that quarter (he rushed for the first quarter score and added a second one in the third quarter) and Shonn Greene wedged a touchdown run in between those scoring passes.

The Chiefs offense struggled once again. The running game didn't do much and had just yards in the game. Tyler Palko started to throw more in the final quarter, but he was just 16-of-32 for 195 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The team had just four total yards in the first half before finishing the game with yards.

Kansas City plays host to the Green Bay Packers next week while the 8-5 Jets pursue a Wild Card spot with a road game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
