FCS Playoffs 2011: Montana State Vs. Sam Houston State Game Time, TV Schedule, Preview And More

The Montana State Bobcats return to action in the 2011 FCS Playoffs by visiting the No. 1 Sam Houston State Bearkats on Saturday. The Bobcats survived a late comeback by the New Hampshire Wildcats last Saturday, 26-25. The Wildcats scored a touchdown with six second left in the game but then had the extra point attempt blocked. The Bobcats held on for the one-point victory.

The Bobcats had been the No. 1 team in the country before losing to the Montana Grizzlies during the last week of the regular season. That gave the Grizzlies the Big Sky's automatic bid and Sam Houston State the No. 1 overall seed. The Bobcats would have had both had they won that game.

As always, look for quarterback DeNarius McGhee and running back Cody Kirk to lead the offense in this upset bid.

Sam Houston State had to come back from a 10-3 deficit against the upstart Stony Brooks Seawolves last Saturday. The Bearkats scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to take the lead, but the fourth quarter was a back and forth game. The Bearkats, though, scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:01 left in the game when Tim Flanders had a seven-yard touchdown run.

Expect a hard-fought, close game.
