FCS Playoffs 2011, Quarterfinals Preview: Montana Already In Semifinals; Montana State Looks To Join Grizzlies

The 2011 FCS Playoffs resumed on Friday when the No. 4 Montana Grizzlies knocked off the No. 5 Northern Iowa Panthers, 48-10. The Grizzlies will need to wait until Saturday afternoon to find out their opponent in the semifinals. They will face the either the No. 1 overall seed Sam Houston State Bearkats or the Montana State Bobcats, whom they already beat this season. That will set the top half of the bracket.

In the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 North Dakota State will host Lehigh, which will be missing wide receiver Ryan Spadola after the junior was suspended for the game due to re-tweeting a racial epithet. The winner of that game will face either No. 3 Georgia Southern or Maine. ESPN decided late in the week that both game would be available on ESPN GamePlan after originally keeping those games just on ESPN3.

Here is Saturday's full schedule:

Montana State (10-2) at No. 1 Sam Houston State (12-0), 10 a.m. MT, ESPN
Maine (9-3) at No. 3 Georgia Southern (10-2), 12 p.m. MT, ESPN GamePlan/ESPN3
Lehigh (11-1) at No. 2 North Dakota State (11-1), 2:05 p.m. MT, ESPN GamePlan/ESPN3
