A 38-24 road victory over the division rival Oakland Raiders (4-4) was apparently enough for the Denver Broncos (3-5) to get some positive attention as a team. Of course, most of the focus is still on QB Tim Tebow, who combined with RB Willis McGahee to execute an option rushing attack that baffled the Raiders defense. With questions about how he would perform in a hostile road environment, Tebow responded with 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions on 10-21 passing and an impressive 117 yards rushing.
23. Denver Broncos (3-5, LW: 29): Say what you want about Tim Tebow, but the Broncos are a game out of first place. (Yeah, you read that right.)
As for the Raiders, they dropped one spot to No. 18 during the initial phase of the Carson Palmer experiment. Stay tuned for more NFL Power Rankings updates throughout the day.
