Despite losing to LSU on Saturday night, Alabama remains ahead of Boise State in the Week 11 Coaches Poll. But the good news for the Broncos is that they aren't too far off of the Crimson Tide. In the most recent edition of the poll, Alabama is at No. 4 with 1,286 points, while Boise sits at No. 5 1,242 points.
While it's unlikely that Boise will pass Alabama, it's not entirely out of the question. The Crimson Tide will travel to Starkville on Saturday to take on Mississippi State, and an unimpressive win coupled with a Boise thrashing of Week 11 opponent TCU might be just enough to bump Boise up to No. 4. Speaking of the Horned Frogs, they're in the Coaches Poll this week at No. 24, meaning that the Broncos will take on a ranked opponent for the first time since Week 1, when they blew out the then #19 ranked Georgia Bulldogs 35-21.
