Darren McFadden Injury Update: Oakland Raiders RB Will Ease Back Into Role After Injury

While we know that Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden will be out for at least this weekend's game against the Chicago Bears and possibly next week's against the Miami Dolphins, coach Hue Jackson doesn't want to rush his player back into practice and game time in one big shot. On Thursday, Jackson said (via the Contra Costa Times) that McFadden will be transitioned back into the thick of things instead of being pushed into what should be a series of important contests in pursuit of an AFC West title.

After Chicago and Miami, the Raiders face the Green Bay Packers, the Detroit Lions, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. If McFadden does return for the Packers game, Michael Bush is still likely to receive plenty of carries so that McFadden doesn't come back and hurt himself by taking on a tough workload. With the state of the AFC West, the Raiders do have a solid path to an AFC West title
