The winless Northern Colorado Bears found themselves down 13 points at the half to the hosting Iowa State Cyclones, and though they made a valiant attempt at a comeback, they ultimately could not make up that deficit in a 90-82 loss. The Bears were led by five players that scored in double digits on Tuesday night, led by freshman forward Tim Huskisson, who dropped in 16 points on 7-11 shooting on the night. Right on his heels were sophomore big man Emmanuel Addo and sophomore guard Paul Garnica, who both scored 15 points on the night.
The Bears actually outshot the Cyclones from the field on the night, 49% to 45%. And while the three point percentages were also comparable, where the Bears got killed was on the free throw line, where the Cyclones converted 18 of their 20 attempts, which dwarfed Northern Colorado's eight makes in nine attempts.
The Bears will try and get into the win column for the first time this season when they travel to Western Carolina on Friday night.
