Cotto Vs. Margarito II: Denver's Pepsi Center Likely Destination For Relocated Bout, According To Report

The Pepsi Center is in line to host the Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito II bout should the New York State Athletic Commission deny Margarito a boxing license over concerns about his eye, reports Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated. A decision on Margarito's license is expected to come on Tuesday, and what happens is really a tossup.

Bad Left Hook terms the pre-ruling talk about what will happen as "wildly inconsistent." Madison Square Garden and New York City and State would lose a large sum of money if the fight moved, which could play in the decision. But, the promotion outfit for this fight was reportedly visiting Denver on Monday to make the arrangements to move the venue to the Pepsi Center.

The hearing can be seen on the New York Department of State website, as Bad Left Hook notes.
