NCAA Basketball: Boise State Blows By Utah

An early season basketball win may not do much to ease Boise State's lingering football sorrows, but if the Broncos' hoops team keeps playing this well, they'll be deserving of their own attention. Boise State improved to 2-0 on Wednesday with a 80-59 win over Utah. The Broncos hit 10-of-18 shots from three-point range to blow the game open.

Freshman guard Anthony Drmic finished with 23 points and five rebounds to lead the Broncos. Boise State forward Ryan Watkins scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds, while guard Drew Wiley added 11 points two rebounds in the win.

Utah fell to 1-1 after a three-point win over San Diego Christian on Monday. The Utes were led by Josh Watkins, who finished with 19 points and five assists. Guard Anthony Odunsi added 14 points and four rebounds.

Boise State never trailed in the game. Next up for the Broncos is a Friday game against Montana State.
