The North Carolina Tar Heels remain atop the latest AP Top 25 Poll after defeating the Michigan St. Spartans on the U.S.S. Carl Vinson and then taking care of UNC-Asheville on the road. The Ohio St. Buckeyes and the Connecticut Huskies took three of the 65 first-place votes, as all the others went to the Tar Heels.

Only two Top 25 teams from last week lost over the weekend. The Vanderbilt Commodores dropped from No. 7 to No. 18 in the AP Poll. The UCLA Bruins were No. 17 and fell out of the rankings after losing to Loyola Marymount by 11 points.

In the Pac-12, the Arizona Wildcats are 3-0 and the No. 15 team in the country. The California Golden Bears are 2-0 and No. 20. They are the only schools from the conference in the top 25 this week. No teams from the Mountain West made the Top 25, but the New Mexico Lobos, the UNLV Rebels and the San Diego St. Aztecs all received votes
