BCS Standings Week 12: Boise State Still In Position For BCS Bowl (With Help)

The Week 12 BCS Standings are out and the Boise State Broncos and the Stanford Cardinal took the biggest hits this week. However, the Broncos, who dropped from No. 5 to No. 10, are still in a position to get an at-large bid for a BCS bowl game. They would need TCU to lose at least one of their two remaining games (Colorado State, UNLV). The Broncos would then be co-champions of the Mountain West, making them eligible for a BCS game.

The Stanford Cardinal dropped from No. 4 to No. 9, but is also still positioned for a BCS bowl bid if they win out. Outside of those two moves, LSU and Oklahoma State stayed at Nos. 1 and 2. Alabama recovered from its loss to LSU by beating Mississippi State and emerged as the No. 3 team. Oregon took over the No. 4 spot vacated by Stanford after the Ducks beat the Cardinal on Saturday.

The 10-0 Houston Cougars are outside of the top 10 again, as they stay put at No. 11. Should Houston go undefeated and Boise State does not win a share of the Mountain West championship, the Cougars would receive a BCS bowl bid.

Here are the top 15 teams:

1. LSU
2. Oklahoma State
3. Alabama
4. Oregon
5. Oklahoma
6. Arkansas
7. Clemson
8. Virginia Tech
9. Stanford
10. Boise State
11. Houston
12. South Carolina
13. Kansas State
14. Georgia
15. Michigan State
