The LSU Tigers remain atop the Harris Interactive Poll with all 115 first-place votes. The Oklahoma St. Cowboys throttled Texas Tech to remain at No. 2. The Alabama Crimson Tide took advantage of Stanford's loss and took over the No. 3 spot. Stanford fell four spots to No. 7, but the Boise St. Broncos took a six-spot plunge after a loss to TCU. They fell from No. 5 to No. 11.
Only the Penn State Nittany Lions experienced a farther drop, from No. 12 to No. 19. The 10-0 Houston Cougars moved from No. 11 to No. 10. This will help them in their pursuit of a BCS bowl since the Harris Poll counts toward one-third of the BCS standings.
The latest BCS standings come out on Sunday night.
