Week 12 BCS Projections: Boise State Loses Most Ground After Loss To TCU

When the latest BCS standings come out on Sunday night, the Boise St. Broncos are expected to drop several spots from their current No. 5 ranking. According to Samuel Chi's Week 12 BCS projections, the Broncos will drop four spots to No. 9. The Stanford Cardinal, which lost to the Oregon Ducks, drop three spots from No. 4 to No. 7. Oregon moves up to No. 4.

While Stanford certainly hoped to play in the National Title game, this loss is only a minor setback compared to Boise State's drop. The Cardinal can still make a BCS bowl game, likely the Fiesta Bowl. The Broncos, on the other hand, need to win the Mountain West or a share of the title. Meanwhile, the Houston Cougars come in at No. 11 and are ready to pounce on an at-large bid for the BCS should they win out and watch TCU win its last two games.

Here are Samuel Chi's top 15 BCS projections:

Projected BCS Standings: 1. LSU, 2. Oklahoma State, 3. Alabama, 4. Oregon, 5. Oklahoma, 6. Arkansas, 7. Stanford, 8. Clemson, 9. Boise State, 10. Virginia Tech, 11. Houston, 12. South Carolina, 13. Georgia, 14. Michigan State, 15. Kansas State.
