The Week 12 BCS rankings are going to experience a shakeup in the top five after the Boise St. Broncos and the Stanford Cardinal each lost on Saturday. The LSU Tigers, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Alabama Crimson Tide will occupy the top three spots, but No. 4 Stanford and No. 5 Boise State could drop out of the top 10.
Teams ranked Nos. 6-11 all won on either Thursday or Saturday while No. 12 Penn State. The No. 7 Oregon Ducks likely stand to gain the most this week since they sent Stanford to defeat, 53-30. However, the Houston Cougars are also in a solid position to get a BCS bowl. Currently No. 11, the Cougars should move to at least No. 10. They are 10-0 and now in position to get a BCS at-large bid.
The Broncos have an outside chance to make a BCS bowl if they remain in the top 14 and have TCU lose both games (Colorado State and UNLV, not the great teams) in order to capture the conference title outright. It doesn't really have a good chance at happening.
The Broncos lost to the TCU Horned Frogs on a botched field goal as time expired.
