Since its 28-14 victory over Colorado State, the Colorado Buffaloes have been overwhelmed by some of the elite teams in the rapidly improving Pac-12, as well as an Ohio State team that has seemed to find its footing over the past couple of weeks.
After taking a look at the latest AP Top 25 poll, it should come as no surprise that the Buffaloes have struggled in their first season in the Pac-12. Apart from Washington State, every opponent the Buffs have faced since Colorado State is either ranked, or receiving votes, in the latest poll. With Stanford ranked at No. 4 and Oregon ranked at No. 6, two of the blowout losses have come against Top-10 opponents. Arizona State, which cruised to a 48-14 victory over the Buffs this past week checks in at No. 20. Both Ohio State and Washington are receiving votes in the latest poll after impressive wins over Wisconsin and Arizona, respectively.
The schedule doesn't get much easier for the Buffs next week, as they host the resurgent USC Trojans, who check in at No. 21 in the AP Top 25. The Trojans are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Stanford but are starting to find an identity under Lane Kiffin.
