TCU Horned Frogs (6-2, 3-0 MWC) def. BYU Cougars (6-3), 38-28: Different league same results for TCU. The Horned Frogs ran out to an early 14-0 lead and took advantage of three BYU turnovers that included a bad punt snap that set up a short touchdown run and two Riley Nelson interceptions.
Air Force Falcons (4-4, 1-3 MWC) def. New Mexico Lobos (0-8, 0-3 MWC), 42-0: Air Force rushed for 335 yards and forced three New Mexico turnovers in the route. The Air Force defense also allowed the fewest yards all year in this game by allowing 223 yards, and that includes games against two FCS teams.
UNLV Rebels (2-5, 1-1 MWC) def. Colorado St. Rams (3-5, 1-2 MWC), 38-35: A back-and-forth game saw UNLV pull the upset over Colorado State. UNLV's defense forced three turnovers in this game and was led by quarter Caleb Herring who only threw for 90 yards and rushed for 22 more, but he scored three touchdowns. Colorado State had chances to win as they missed a field goal, turned the ball over on downs twice and had an interception returned for a touchdown.
Wyoming Cowboys (5-2, 2-0 MWC) def. San Diego St. Aztecs (4-3, 1-2 MWC), 30-27: Wyoming pulled off the upset behind freshman quarterback Brett Smith had a career high 341 yards and two touchdowns, and Smith rushed for 24 yards and two touchdowns on the ground as well.
