College Football Rankings, Week 9: Montana State Remains At No. 4 In FCS Top 25 After Defeating Northern Colorado

The top of the FCS Top 25 poll didn't change in the top four spots this week. Georgia Southern remained No. 1 after moving to 7-0. They defeated Presbyterian, 48-14. Northern Iowa and North Dakota also remained at Nos. 2 and 3, but one of them will fall on Saturday since they square off for the Missouri Valley Conference lead.

The Montana State Bobcats took one first-place vote as the No. 4 team. They defeated the Northern Colorado Bears, 31-21. While they have Idaho State and Weber State still on the schedule, the season-ender against Montana will be their toughest test before making the playoffs. The Bobcats lead the division at 7-1 (5-0 Big Sky).

The Montana Grizzlies check in at No. 11, up one spot from last week. They narrowly defeated Northern Arizona, 28-24.

The Northern Colorado Bears fell to 0-8 with the loss to Montana State. Earnest Collins Jr. is still looking for his first victory at the helm of UNC.
