The Boise St. Broncos didn't drop in either the AP poll or the Coaches poll, but they did see the Oklahoma St. Cowboys and the Stanford Cardinal jump above them, That likely has much to do with the Broncos' close 37-26 victory over the Air Force Falcons. The Harris Interactive Poll (PDF) did that as well this week. While LSU and Alabama remained in the top two spots, Oklahoma State and Stanford jumped to Nos. 3 and 4. The Cardinal even took home one first-place vote.
The Broncos then slotted in at No. 5, ahead of the also undefeated Clemson Tigers. Now that they are No. 5 in the Coaches poll and the Harris poll, the Broncos will wait on the computer rankings to determine their BCS ranking. Their computer average was No. 6 last week, but we already know they moved up to No. 4 in the Sagarin rankings, one of the six sets of numbers used. It is unlikely they fall out of the No. 5 spot.
Here is the current top 10 in the Harris poll:
1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma State
4. Stanford
5. Boise State
6. Clemson
7. Oregon
8. Oklahoma
9. Arkansas
10. Kansas State
