The Pac-12 football schedule went pretty much as expected until the last evening of the game. The Oregon St. Beavers upset the Washington St. Cougars, 44-21. Beavers quarterback Sean Mannion threw four touchdown passes and 376 yards in the victory. The Beavers improved to 2-5 while the Cougars dropped to 3-4.
Here are the rest of the results:
No. 10 Oregon Ducks (6-1) def. Colorado Buffaloes (1-7), 45-2: This just wasn't a pretty game at all for the Buffs. The Ducks had a 35-0 lead at halftime and gave up their only points on safety. And Buffs quarterback Tyler Hansen left the game with a concussion.
California Golden Bears (4-3) def. Utah Utes (3-4), 34-10: Like the Buffs, the Utes are also 0-4 in Pac-12 play. Unlike the Buffs, Utah's loss to Cal counts as a conference loss; the Buffs scheduled their game with Cal before the Pac-12 move.
USC Trojans (6-1) def. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-3), 31-17: Matt Barkley and Robert Woods continue to be a deadly combination. Barkley threw three touchdowns and found Woods on the end for two of them. The receiver caught 12 of Barkley's passes for 119 yards.
No. 8 Stanford (7-0) vs. No. 25 Washington Huskies (5-2), 65-21: Quarterback Andrew Luck only threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns, but that was a result of the running game picking up 446 yards and five touchdowns.
