Week 8 College Football Rankings: Top Five Stay The Same In Coaches Poll

The latest USA Today coaches poll came out with the top five being the same as last week. The Oklahoma Sooners retain their top spot on the night that the first official BCS standings will be released and the Sooners have 31 of the 61 first place votes. Then followed by LSU, Alabama, Wisconsin and Stanford.

Changes that did occur in the top-10 was that Boise State was jumped by Oklahoma State even though Boise State went on the road and defeated Colorado State 63-13. Oklahoma State also went on the road to defeat then-No. 22 Texas 36-28. TCU who was on a bye this week did gain one 25th place vote this week.

From the Pac-12, the Oregon Ducks moved up to a tie with the Clemson Tigers after Oregon defeated Arizona State 41-27. Arizona State then fell down to No. 25 from that lost.
