Mountain West Football Results: Boise State Stomps Colorado State, Nevada Rolls Over New Mexico

The Saturday schedule for the Mountain West Conference offered no surprises, but then no one was expecting any. Rather, the story of conference realignment is what dominated the day. OK, Saturday's victors dominated just as much as those non-field stories.

Wyoming Cowboys (4-2) def. UNLV Rebels (1-5), 41-14: The Cowboys easily built a 20-0 lead in the first quarter, but then it quickly disappeared in the second quarter after the Rebels scored two straight touchdowns. However, Wyoming answered back in the second half with 21 unanswered points, including a 76-yard punt return.

Nevada Wolf Pack (3-3) vs. New Mexico Lobos (0-6), 49-7: There's no way to sugarcoat these losses for New Mexico. At least Tarean Austin picked up a 17-yard touchdown run to prevent the shutout.

Boise St. Broncos (6-0) def. Colorado St. Rams (3-3), 63-13: This one was not pretty at all. The Rams were outclassed the entire game and had no answer to Kellen Moore or Doug Martin.
