NFL Trade Deadline: Aaron Curry Traded To Oakland Raiders, According To Report

Before the Denver Broncos selected Von Miller with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the last linebacker to go in the top five selections was Aaron Curry to the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 draft. Through five games, Miller has looked outstanding for the most part, though he was benched for parts of the game against the Chargers. Miller has five sacks in five games and could break Jevon Kearse's rookie sack record of 14.5.

Aaron Curry, on the other hand, has just found himself traded to the Oakland Raiders for undisclosed and future draft picks in 2012 and 2013, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. It can't be a high draft pick since the Raiders don't have a second-, third- or fourth-round selection in 2012 and no one in their right mind would give up a first-round pick for Curry.

Curry's time with the Seahawks has been disappointing, to say the least. He has just 5-1/2 sacks in three seasons, zero in 2011 so far. The Raiders saw Rolando McClain go down with an ankle injury on Sunday and don't know how much time, if any, he'll miss.
