BCS Championship Odds 2011: Mountain West's Boise State Has Top Five Odds To Win This Season

It's been a while since a Colorado school has won the national football championship. We all remember the 1990 Colorado Buffaloes team that defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 1991 Orange Bowl to take the AP National Championship. And we all know it is going to be a long time until that happens again.

So, don't expect to find Colorado on any short list of odds to win this year's BCS Championship. However, Bodog's early list has some teams we're familiar with. An old Big 12 foe, the Oklahoma Sooners, come in with 3/1 odds, second only to Alabama (7/4). Among Colorado's new conference teammates, the Stanford Cardinal is at 12/1. And for laughs, the Texas Longhorns have 125/1 odds.

Maybe one prefers the underdog Boise State Broncos at 10/1. They need to win out and see teams ahead of them lose to even sniff the BCS Championship game. Or if you are a Colorado Rockies fan and still root for Russell Wilson, his Wisconsin Badgers hold 7/1 odds at the moment.

Here are some of the standout odds from Bodog:

Odds to win the 2011-2012 BCS Championship

Alabama                       7/4

Oklahoma                     3/1

LSU                              9/2

Wisconsin                     7/1

Clemson                       12/1

Oregon                          30/1

Georgia Tech                 50/1

West Virginia                 50/1

Texas                           125/1
