Nuggets Vs. Clippers: Denver Looks To Extend Win Streaks

The Denver Nuggets hope to extend three win streaks when they face the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at the Staples Center.

Denver is currently riding a four game win streak - with victories over the Portland Trail Blazers, Minnesota Timberwolves. Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets - and also a two-game win streak over the Clippers this season. Take it back to last year and the Nuggets have won five straight against the lowly Clippers.

The Nuggets bring the second-leading scoring offense in the NBA, at 106.7 points per game, into the match-up against LA, led by team-leading scorer Carmelo Anthony's 24 points.

In their most recent win, Melo and Nene each registered double-doubles, accounting for a combined 14 double-doubles on the season. Compare that to Clippers rookie forward Blake Griffin, who has registered 22 consecutive double-doubles.

In injury news, Los Angeles will be without big man Chris Kaman, while Denver is hoping to see the return of forward Al Harrington who is day-to-day with an injury to his thumb.

The game tips tonight at 8:30 p.m. MT and can be seen on Altitude.
