Super Bowl XLV Features Packers-Steelers Match-Up; Kickoff, TV Station, Halftime Act And More

Super Bowl 45 will feature the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Feb. 6, 2011 in Arlington, Texas. The game will be played in Cowboys Stadium, which opened in 2009.

The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears, 21-14, on Sunday afternoon to advance to their fifth Super Bowl. Despite a valiant effort late in the game by Caleb Hanie, the Bears were unable to overcome a stout Packers team. The Steelers held off a late rally by the New York Jets to win, 24-19. They will play in their eighth Super Bowl and look to win a league-best seventh championship.

FOX will have the broadcast, with the team of Troy Aikman and Joe Buck announcing the game. Christina Aguilera will sing the National Anthem and the Black Eyed Peas will be the halftime act. So, one feels however one wants to feel about that. . . .

Kickoff should be around 4:25 p.m. MT, and remember FOX has already banned one commercial from airing during the game.
