Rockies Look To Start Winning Streak With Jorge De La Rosa On Mound

After dropping five straight games to divisional opponents, the Colorado Rockies returned to their winning September ways with a huge night for Troy Tulowitzki. Tulo drove in five runs, including the game-winning RBI double in the 10th inning.

The Giants send out Matt Cain today who is 2-0 in four September starts. The Giants are 4-0 in those starts. He last faced the Rockies on July 4, when he went seven innings and allowed three runs. He took a no-decision, but the Rockies ultimately won the game, 4-3, on a Todd Helton sac fly in the 15th inning.

Jorge De La Rosa has taken part in the decision for all four of his September starts, going 3-1. He took that loss in his last starts (against the D'Backs), but the Rockies' offense failed to show up. The Snakes won 3-1. In the earlier three starts, De La Rosa went at least six innings in each of them, and in his home start against the Diamondbacks on Sept. 10 he struck out 10.
