Weekend Stay Inside And Watch Sports Guide - Rockies Host Giants In Very Important Series

You live in Denver. You can watch sports AND be outside. Hello rooftops!

All times Mountain.

FRIDAY

Giants at Rockies: FSN-RM, 6:10 PM -- Tim Lincecum vs Jhoulys Chacin -- Lose this first game and the Rockies will need a miracle to make the playoffs.

SATURDAY

Colorado State at Miami (Ohio): ESPN3, 1:30 PM --  The Rams haven't won in a long time. Like a really, really long time. This would be a better situation for CSU if they were in Ft. Collins as Miami isn't that good. Then again, the Rams haven't won in a really long time.

Air Force at Oklahoma: FSN-RM, 1:30 PM -- Some media types have been writing today that Air Force, and not Florida State, may be Oklahoma's toughest non-conference match up this season. That may be true because of the unique preparation involved in trying to stop the triple option, but Oklahoma is going to be very hot tomorrow and I just can't see the Falcons pulling off the upset. The heat has nothing to do with it. I just hate heat.

See the rest after the jump...

Giants at Rockies: FSN-RM, 6:10 PM -- Barry Zito vs Jason Hammel -- Will Jason Hammel be able to pitch through his "dead arm" phase or will Jason Hammel be ruined for the start of next season? Again, a win for the Rockies will go a long way to staying in the postseason hunt.

Colorado Rapids at Real Salt Lake: FSC, 8:00 PM -- In what is something of a running joke, we have Burgundy Wave, our Rapids blog, that can tell you all about the Rapids' upcoming opponent, Real Salt Lake. The Rapids continue their pursuit for a place in the postseason.

SUNDAY

Colts at Broncos: CBS, 2:15 -- The Broncos will be playing with heavy hearts as Kenny McKinley's death weighs on their minds. With RB Knowshon Moreno out and CB Champ Bailey a game-time decision, the Broncos will have more than enough to battle through with the Colts. But an Indy win is no lock of the season.

Giants at Rockies: FSN-RM, 1:10 PM -- Matt Cain vs Jorge De La Rosa -- Must. Win.

Eastbound & Down: HBO, 8:30 PM -- Second season premiere, and it's on right after Boardwalk Empire! What a great two hours!
