Rockies Defeat Dodgers 7-5, Trail Division By 1.5 Games

The Rockies earned a rare victory in Los Angeles on the bat of Troy Tulowitzki and the arm of Ubaldo Jimenez, who earned his franchise record 19th win.

Jimenez pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up four runs before turning the ball over to the bullpen. Huston Street allowed one run on three hits before striking out Matt Kemp to earn the save.

Tulowitzki added his 24th homerun of the season and Todd Helton went 4 for 5 as the Rockies brought plenty of offense into Chavez Ravine, tallying 11 hits after being shutout three of their last four visits to Los Angeles.

With San Diego getting crushed by the Cardinals, and San Francisco getting shutout by Milwaukee, the Rockies find themselves in the midst of a three team contest for the NL West division crown.
