Nevada Running Away At The Half As They Lead Colorado State 34-3

Nevada took a a commanding lead against Colorado State early in this game and never looked back.  The Chris Ault pistol offense is shredding the Colorado State defense.  Quarterback Colin Kaepernick is doing his usual one man show in the first half with 139 rushing to go along side 166 passing yards with a combined three scores.

The Ram offense just is not producing any yards and is stalling on nearly every drive as they are 0-5 on third down attempts and 0-2 on fourth down attempts. Freshman quarterback Pete Thomas is not making any mistake nor is he making any big plays.  Thomas was 13-18 and 124 yards in passing in the first half, but there is no running game to speak of for the Rams and in the first half ran 16 times for 45 yards.

Nevada looks to have this game in hand, so lets see if the Colorado State coaching staff will open up the play book and see what Pete Thomas can do in the downfield passing game instead of the short and safe passes.
