And there were some more injuries yesterday. However, more than anything else it was Floyd Little's day as he received enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
↵Peaks
↵-Floyd Little became only the third Bronco to enter the halls of Canton, the other two being John Elway and Gary Zimmerman. The Franchise is now a football immortal and forever one of the NFL greats. StoryStream: Floyd Little Pro Football Hall Of Fame Inductee
↵-The Broncos held a practice at Invesco last night and then watched with their fans Little's induction speech.
↵- The Rapids finally broke their seven game losing streak, winning 1-0 at home to get their first win since June 5th.
↵-Ultimately, the Rockies lost, but give credit where credit is due. Ian Stewart's three-run blast in the ninth inning demonstrated that this team wasn't going to say yes to losing (well, until they did).
↵-Todd Helton's home run in the top of the 10th was sorely needed for both the team and him. It's just, well....
↵Level Ground
↵-Jorge De La Rosa pitched five scoreless innings with some difficulty and then gave up a homer to Chris Snyder in the sixth. Not terrible but not great.
↵Valleys
↵-Pedro Alvarez's three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th. It completed Huston Street's collapse that night and sent the Rockies into Sunday on the heels of a loss.
↵-Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker left practice yesterday with injuries to their left ankles (possibly foot for Decker). No word yet on their conditions, but players are dropping like flies.
↵On Tap For Today
↵-Esmil Rogers takes Aaron Cook's spot in the rotation and opposes Paul Maholm at 11:35 a.m. MT.
