Can The Buffaloes Make The NCAA Tourney With This Schedule?

Usually, when a new coach is hired, he is given a season or two to build the program to his liking and bring in the guys that will fit into and run his system. New Colorado head coach Tad Boyle isn't going to be afforded that luxury. With Cory Higgins and Alec Burks, two of the most talented players the Buffs have had in the last 10 years, entering what will most likely be their last seasons in the program and a solid surrounding cast Boyle needs to take this team to the next level now, before he has to start with a whole lot less.

Yesterday, CU released the 2010-2011 men's basketball schedule, now we're left to take a look and try and determine if this year's slate will allow for a return to the NCAA Tournament.

- CU will be a part of at least five nationally televised contests.  The Buffaloes travel to Kansas State (Jan. 12) on ESPNU; at Nebraska (Jan. 18) on ESPN2; host both Texas A&M (Feb. 9) and Kansas State (Feb. 12) on ESPNU; and at Kansas (Feb. 19) on ESPN.

- Colorado has their longest streak of consecutive home games in 13 years in non-conference play, facing Texas-Pan American, Oregon State, CSU, The Citadel, and Longwood.

Hopefully, this year will be the start of a new era for Buffaloes basketball.
