Colorado already knows about Carlos Gonzalez, but the country has yet to find find out about him. Slowly but surely that is changing. Just take a look at the Starting Lineup to the left of this. ESPN's Steve Berthiaume sees Carlos Gonzalez making himself into a superstar. Now Jon Paul Morosi over at FoxSports.com has named Gonzalez the most underrated player in baseball today.
Of the 10 players Morosi ranks, CarGo is the only one who screams future superstar, if not already one. Unfortunately, CarGo plays in the mountain time zone, otherwise known as the forgotten baseball area. A top-five finish in NL MVP voting will go a long way in creating a national identity for him, but a deep run into the playoffs would be even better.
