The Colorado Rockies brought back some old-fashioned Coors Field Magic for their Wednesday game against the Atlanta Braves.
After winning the first two games of the series, Colorado found itself on the short end of a 10-1 deficit after the first three innings, with Esmil Rogers getting shelled. But they weren’t finished.
Rookie left-hander Matt Reynolds threw three scoreless innings and the offense crept back in the game. Dexter Fowler hit a two run triple and then scored on an erroneous throw to bring the Rockies within five runs.
Carlos Gonzalez hit a two run single to put the Rockies ahead for good in the bottom of the eighth inning, completing the miraculous comeback.
