Denver Nuggets point guard and Denver hometown hero Chauncey Billups has been selected as one of the final 12 members for the FIBA World Basketball Championships next week in Istanbul, Turkey. There was uncertainty that Billups would make the final roster, but those fears were assuaged the second that Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo had to leave the squad.↵
Billups, 33, is by far the oldest member of a squad that averages only 24.6 years of age. Other prominent members include Kevin Durant, Lamar Odom, and Derrick Rose.↵
Congratulations to Chauncey Billups on this once in a lifetime opportunity to represent Colorado and the United States at the World Championships!
