Troy Renck now tweets that Brad Hawpe will become a free agent tomorrow and that lefty Matt Reynolds will be promoted from Colorado Springs.
Renck also points out that the Texas Rangers are one team with interest. A trade was unlikely since the Rangers didn’t need to give up anything if the Rockies always planned on releasing Hawpe.
