Ubaldo Jimenez Leads Rockies Into Rubber Game Against Brewers

If they continue their pattern since the beginning of the month, the Rockies will win today's afternoon game. The Rockies have alternated wins and losses since August 1, entering today's game with a 6-6 record. Ubaldo Jimenez and Manny Parra are today's starters.

Ubaldo Jimenez was a tough-luck loser in Tuesday's game against the Mets, allowing a run in seven innings. Jimenez is stuck on 17 wins as he continues his quest to reach the 20-win plateau.

Manny Parra has moved between the bullpen and the rotation today, picking up a 3-9 record in 34 appearances on the way. He has been a mainstay in the rotation since the end of May. He received a no-decision in Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks when he allowed a run in 5 1/3 innings and struck out six. He also lived dangerously in that game by walking six. In a June 18 start against the Rockies Parra allowed two runs and lost 2-0 to the Rockies.
